Soccer Saturday

We are in full soccer season.  For Sept and Oct all our Saturdays will be soccer Saturdays.  Luckily the kids were not playing at the same time today so Matt and I were able to watch both kids play their entire games.  Ella Catherine's game was first at 9am.  She was team captain today and started off playing offense.  However, the goalie on her team was hurt early on in the game and as a result she volunteered to play goalie the second half of the game.  I was super nervous for her but she didn't seem nervous a bit!  She played a shut out.  Unfortunately, her team lost but the other team did not score on her.  She SHUT EM OUT!!  Her coach was talking to Matt after the game and said, "I think I've found myself a new goalie."

We had a bit of a break before Carter's game.  He played at 11:00.  It offered some time for Matt to kick around the soccer ball with the older kids.  Carter started the game also on offense.  He is really starting to be a bit more interactive in the game.  Following the ball well and getting in there to kick it. He also ended up playing goalie at the end of his game.  He had some great stops.  It was a great day to spend the morning at the soccer field.
All Smiles after the game.  She took about 20-30 minutes to chill out before eating and drinking her after game snacks,  Said she was so nervous she felt sick.  Would have never known she was nervous.  She looked cool as a cucumber when she was playing.

Trouble

Add caption
Today, this sweet face has toilet papered our bathroom, written on several walls, colored on her sister's sheets, taken a bath fully clothed in the hose outside and is currently pretending to play electric guitar with Carter's baseball bat.  We are in soooo much trouble with this one.

Soccer Season has officially begun

We have 2 soccer players this fall.  Ella Catherine has decided to give soccer a try and she LOVES it.  We are fortunate that they both practice on Monday nights.  However, they have practices at different fields about 20 minutes apart.  So, we don't really get to see either of them practice very much before we are loading back into the car to go drop off or pick up the other one.

Today was the first game of the season and although one played at 10am and the other 10:15am they were at least at the same fields.  The jerseys were late coming in so we were supposed to get them at the game. Well, they didn't come in and we didn't get the memo until we were at the field.  Luckily, one of the boys are carter's team had a jersey from last year that he let us borrow.  Unfortunately, if you know Carter you know that he is not one for change.  If he has in his mind something is going one way and for whatever reason it changes, it throws him into a tailspin.  So, a tailspin we had and he refused to play for the first half of the game.  Signs of him maturing is that he was able to recover half way through the game and actually play and enjoy himself.  It is difficult to manage as a parent and I am so thankful to have Matt to tag team with.  So, while he was refusing to play, Ella Catherine's game started and Matt and I took turns watching the kids play.  Luckily there fields were not too far apart and we could stand between them and watch back and forth.  Cassidy was equipped with lots of snacks to keep her occupied.  They both lost their games but it beautiful day!

GO WARRIORS!!!

Williamson County Fair

Our good friends, The Reamers, called and invited us to join them at the Williamson County fair and we are so very happy that they did.  Such a fun night with great friends.  The last time we went to the fair Carter was too little to ride many of the rides.  This time he had a ball and it was Cassidy that was too little but luckily there were enough to keep her happy.

Beginning of the night, ready to get started.  Daddy and Cassidy were in line to get the arm bands and tickets.

First ride of the night, the caterpillar roller coaster

Carter, Ella Catherine and Whitney all ready to go.

All Smiles

Whitney was a dare devil with no hands and Carter and Ella Catherine had a firm grip of the handle.  Toward the end Ella Catherine would raise her hands for a brief period of time.

Cassidy's first fair ride!  she was so excited and Ella Catherine was so sweet to ride it with her.

And around and around they go.  So fun watching them have this special experience together.  Doesn't get much better

These three!  Spinning around and around and around.  That is what was about to go down.  I wish I could have captured their faces as the ride was going around.  All i can say is that their faces were a mixture of extreme joy and a little fear, but when it was all over they wanted to ride it again.

Ready for the Swings!  This kid was such a trooper.  When the ride wouldn't hold 3, he rode by himself and never complained.

These two are so fun to watch.  They truly enjoy each others company.
The fun farmers exhibit that lets kids learn what its like to be farmer.

Each of them had a turn to be the cow, the pig and the sunflower

Cassidy loved petting the goats and all the other farm animals

First Day of the 2015 school year

I can not believe it is already time for school to start back.  Even more unbelievable is that Ella Catherine is starting 3rd grade, Carter is starting Kindergarten, and Cassidy is being moved up to the grasshoppers (3 year old preschool) class.  I am so happy that they all seem to still be excited about the first day of school.  Let's hope the enthusiasm lasts all year long!

Bring on the 3rd Grade!!!!  Her shirt actually says Bring on the Sunshine but I love that she figured out if she held the sign over sunshine it stated the above.

All Smiles and what a smile he has!  Melts my heart everytime

Not the best in focus picture but she was so excited she had a hard time standing still

Cutest Grasshopper I've ever seen

So excited that she wanted a picture with  her big brother, unfortunately big brother thought it was funny to throw the bunny ears.  Boys!

And then she wanted a pic with both sissie and Carter.  Carter attempted the bunny ears again and I caught him. Busted.

Last day of the 2015 school year

Today was the last day of the 2015 school year.  Well, let's be honest there hasn't been much learning going on for at least the last week.  :)  This morning it is official though, No more school!  We went to school to pick up their report cards and give their teachers one last hug before summer.  We are so thankful for their teachers and the great job they have done this year.  Both Ella Catherine and Carter have learned and grown so much.  Now Bring on SUMMER!
Carter's kindergarten readiness class had an end of the year ceremony on Friday May 22nd.  They sang us several songs and then Ms. Davis handed out their certificates.

Carter isn't super excited about singing in front of everyone but at least he is up there!
