Saturday August 29, 2009 was actually Carter's 2nd baptism. His first baptism was on May 28, 2009 in the NICU at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Both ceremonies are equally important to Matt and I, but the feelings and emotions were definitely different. We are so very thankful to God for healing our baby boy. He is such a joy and I am so looking forward to seeing what God's plan is for his life. As you can see from the pictures above, we had a small private ceremony with our family and friends. It was a perfect day.

Carter is 3 months old

It is so hard for us to believe that Carter is already 3 months old. He is doing GREAT! We had a visit with the pediatrician on August 14th and everything is going well. He now weighs 14lbs 13oz (90th %) and is 24 3/4inches tall (95th%). The day after our visit on 8/15/09 he decided it was time to start moving a little bit more and so he rolled over from his back to his stomach for the first time. Yesterday 8/23/09 he rolled over from his stomach to his back for the first time. I'm not sure that this wasn't just a fluke as he didn't repeat that move again for us yesterday. He continues to be a happy, smiley baby. He will have a baptismal ceremony at our church this weekend. I am hoping he can still fit into the gown! Will keep you posted. :)

New Memories with Old Friends

I apologize for the delay in posting. We have had some computer problems but are back up and running now. The weekend of August 8th and 9th, we made a trip to Memphis. Matt and his dad played in the annual father and son golf tournament (and team Lynch came in 3rd, YAY!!) and our good friends the Coles and the Pattersons hosted a sip and see for Carter. It was a very busy weekend but a very fun weekend. Ella Catherine was able to play with her old buddies (Airey, Lewis and Gray) and Carter was able to meet his new buddies (Cambell, Cole and Hayes). It was such a delight to watch the children play and to visit with old friends and catch up. Matt and I love Nashville but we do miss all of our friends and family in Memphis.

Best Buddies! These two had an absolute ball at the family get together after the golf tournament. Friends reunited.
Ella Catherine LOVES the Cole boys. In fact, we knew she was going to be a great big sister when the Cole's came to visit right before my due date and she could not get enough of Campbell. She was always hugging him and trying to feed him. Such a sweet girl! Looking at this picture I can almost hear Campbell saying hey how about sharing that cookie. :)
We tried to get all the kids together for a group shot. Easier said than done! :) The Pattersons are missing and we hate that but understand tired children. From Left to right: Cole Thomas, Lewis Thomas, Airey Cole, Campbell Cole, Ella Catherine and Carter.

Ella Catherine was so worn out from the weekend that she fell asleep eating goldfish. PRICELESS!

It is so hard to believe that Carter is already 2 mo. His first official day of daycare , July 20th, was also his 2mo birthday. He is growing so big and is paying more attention to his surroundings. He loves to watch his big sister run around. He is a very happy baby and an absolute joy.

Ella Catherine attended her first birthday party since moving to Nashville last weekend. Gabbie her friend and one of her classmates had her 3rd birthday party at Fannie Mae park. A lot of the children from her class were there. It was nice to get to meet their parents and get to know them. The kids had a ball. They had set up a side walk chalking station, a bubble station, arts and crafts, t-ball, and Gabbie had brought her bikes for the kids to ride. In addition, the park had a great playground. Ella Catherine had a fantastic time and on the ride home said she wanted to go to Gabbie's party again.

Matt decided to build his work table last weekend and Ella Catherine wanted to help. It was so cute to see her helping daddy and she was so proud of herself. Matt took some pictures and I though they were too cute not to share. She too is getting bigger by the day.
