Super Star of the week
Ella Catherine was chosen to be the Super Star of the week. She had to fill out some information about her favorite things and then her teacher posted them on the bullentin board in her classroom.

Trick or Treat 2011
Ella Catherine was beside herself with excitement this year for Halloween. Since last Halloween she has been talking about being a Butterfly, but about 2-3 months before Halloween she changed her mind and decided that she wanted to be a Super Hero.
As for Carter, well he didn't really understand about Halloween or trick or treating. So, when it was time to get dressed up to go, he was less than thrilled about the whole process. He didn't want his picture taken, and didn't want to hold his pumpkin. He changed his mind about holding the pumpkin when we told him that if he didn't have his pumpkin he wouldn't get any candy. :) Needless to say it only took 1 house before he realized trick or treating meant free candy. From then on he was all smiles.
We are very fortunate to have met some great neighbors this summer who have children the same ages. It made trick or treating that much more fun. Matt drove his truck and we all piled in back on a blanket and drove through the neighborhood. He would drop us off and park ahead. Made the hills in our neighborhood much more manageable. Some day we want to get a trailer and fill it with Hay and have a hayride trick or treat.

So, we were at this house and the kids were trick or treating when another group came up behind them and was waiting their turn. One of the middle school boys had a warewolf costume and Carter kept his eye on him. He wouldn't budge and even when the boy took his mask off I had to go up and get Carter by the hand to move past him. Carter kept his eye on him as we passed by and as we were walking away kept looking behind us to make sure he wasn't there. It was funny.

When we got home from trick or treating we let the kids pass out candy. As I was helping Ella Catherine get in her PJ's I heard Matt laughing. Turns out he told Carter he could hand out the candy and Carter stepped outside and yelled "I Got Candy, Who wants some Candy?"
